Semana 37! Aibonito

Wow this week was amazing!!!!! Full of so many miracles!!

We had a really cool experience this week! We were asked to come to a man house after he called us, he said that his son had cancer and that he needed us to come over and pray. So we walked the 4 miles to his house! When we got there he gladly let us in and took us to his sons room. His son has neck and throat cancer and hasn't been able to get out of bed for almost a month. We got to know him and his family (mom and dad) and then asked if we could sing them a song. We sang them "Nearer my God to Thee" and finished as the spirit filled the room. Then we prayed that his son would have a relief of pain and feel his Heavenly Fathers love for him. We left and the dad met us outside where he thanked us and tried to give us an envelope with money in it. We told him no and explained that we have set apart this 18 months in our lives for the Lord and we do not accept any money. The dad had tears fill his eyes as he explained that in the past week, they have had 17 different missionaries, pastors, and preachers in their house to try to give their son even a little but of relief from his pain... and we were the first ones to reject the money. At that exact moment, his son walked out of his room and walked outside to enjoy some fresh air... after being bed ridden for over a month..... His dad told us this is the first time he has felt well enough to even move and he knows it was because of us and the spirit we brought into his home. He asked what was different about us and we explained about the Priesthood and the Holy Spirit. We asked him if we could return the next week with our Branch President to give his son a Priesthood blessing.

We also had an amazing day at church yesterday! alot of our investigators came and it was fast and testimony meeting which means the congrigation, have the opprotunity to go up and bear their testimony if they would like, every single one of the people we had there said they felt something different!!! It truly was a miracle!!

Also transfer news came in and HERMANA SCHAERRER AND I will be staying here in aibonito for the next 6 weeks!!! She is now the longest companion i have ever had;) haahh!!

Love you all have a great week!!!

Semana 36!!! Aibonito

WOW this week was insane!!!! I can't remember much that happened except for Wednesday cause it was the CRAZIEST DAY EVER!!!! Well my companion and I were looking for an inactives house, and we got lost for 2 hours while looking for it, we turned down this one road to find that it was a dead end, so we promptly turn back and head back from where we came from!! Then we heard vicious barking. Usually, when we hear barking we keep going and they (the dogs) bark at our ankles and we move on. NOT THIS ONE! A big  rottweiler came up, PASSED MY COMPANION, bit my calf, and ran away!.... I was like what the?!?! hahaha luckily it only left a few tooth marks and didnt take my whole leg with it:) thanks for your prayers:)

Then later that day after we got me all figured out we had mutual, an activity with the youth in the branch!!! And a some of our youth brought their friends!! and this kid named joshua liked it so much that he told his family how much he liked mutual and hwo he felt and they love that we are so centered on famlies so him and his family will be coming to church this week!! keep them in your prayers:)!!!

General conference was so amazing, one of my (very many) favorite talks was given by Elder Mckay, he talked about how when we pray for specific things to heavely father, sometime they dont come as quickly as we want, but something that ALWAYS comes quickly is immediate goodness, meaning comfort, trust, joy, love and more!!!

We all pray for things and sometimes we get frustrated when we dont see the immediate blessings!! but let me tell you something, there may not be immediate blessings, but there is always immediate goodness!!! Sometimes our wishes arent what the Lord has in mind for us and thats okay! He loves us and knows what is best for us and what we NEED!! thats more important! so if youre having a tough time, just look for the immediate goodness cause its always there!!

I love you all and i hope you have a great week!!!

Semana 35!!! Aibonito

MARTIN WAS BAPTIZED! He came out of the water with the biggest smile on his face, and the next day in church when he received the Holy Ghost he said he felt like he was on a cloud and was perfectly content! After he was baptized he bore his testimony and said that he finally knows Christ after searching for Him his entire life

This week was the craziest week of my entire life...
Monday: Our car got stuck in a pharmacy parking lot in a different city than where we live... 40 minutes away by car
Tuesday: We taught Martin the Word of Wisdom and he accepted!!!
Friday: Was zone conference and me and my comp had to give a training and our branch President called and asked us to give talks on Sunday
Saturday: The Baptism of Martin!
Sunday: Was the confirmation of Martin and we gave talks! (I spoke for 25 minutes in Spanish...the gift of tongues is real:)) And a part member family we have been working with came to church!!! also we walked 4 miles in the pouring rain and my hymn book and Spanish scriptures are DESTROYED :(

!!! SO BUSY!!! but so many blessings!! We are working our tails off and seeing miracles!!!
I Love it out here in our little town!!

I am so pumped for General Conference this weekend and to hear from our Prophet and Apostles!!!

Have a great week!!!

Semana 34!!! Aibonito

So this week has been full of walking and full of lessons! On saturday we will have the baptism of Martin, a sweet old man who absolutely loves the book of mormon and the peace it has brought into his life. Pray for him!

We also are teaching a single dad and his 18 year old son.  So the dad is a strong believer in God and the son doesn't believe that God exists.. so we met up at an ice cream shop last week to teach them, we didn't have time to share a big lesson, so we shared Mosiah 4:9 and after the lesson when we were saying goodbye, the son shook our hands and said "I feel good around you guys" in stuttered English. We all felt the spirit and we have high hopes for them!

We also had mutual again this week and it was a huge success! it was so much fun and we were able to play fun games and share spiritual thoughts!! ill attatch pictures below!

So the most embarassing moment in my life...
Every Sunday night we go to the Branch Presidents house for dinner, last night we were all eating dinner and talking about our weight (weird I know just go with it). Anyways, the Branch presidents 17 year old son went and weighed himself and hes a little twig of a guy so he came back into the room and said "I weigh a lot, I weigh 130!." At that moment my companion looked at me like this ðŸ˜² cause she weighs the same as the 17 year old boy... and I had had just taken a drink of water and BUSTED UP LAUGHING WITH ALL THE WATER IN MY MOUTH I AND SPIT THE WATER ALL OVER THE BRANCH PRESIDENT WIFE'S FACE AND ALL OVER THE DINNER TABLE.

The branch president looked over at us and said ïts a good thing I like you guys cause if not... you don't even want to know!"
then her husband says ät least you dont have to shower tonight..."HAHAH

So.. yeah... its all good!

have a great week i love you all!

Semana 33!! Aibonito

Hola,
WOW Wow Wow! i'm alive!!!!!! Well Tuesday morning we had an earthquake here, but we're all good! Our little apartment shook for a few seconds but we are alive and working hard!

This week was good, we saw lots of little miracles in our little town!

On Wednesday we had mutual with the youth and we played volleyball! it was so much fun! I got smack in the face with the ball, but my glasses didnt break so bendiciones!

One of the miracles we saw was that on sunday, (yesterday) our friend Martin came to church! hes pretty old (72) but hes on date to be baptized at the end of this month!!! So we are really excited for him! He loved church and brought his own book of mormon and everything! The members were all really loving and supportive towards him!

I love this work and I'm so happy and grateful to be an instrument in the Lords hands!!!
Love you all!!!!

Well Hello,
Wow this week has been HECTIC!

So on tuesday hermana nelson and i headed to caguas to meet up with some missionaries, and then we headed to guynabo (the place we were picking up our trainees) And had the trainers meeting and got our new companions!!!

My new comp is Hermana Shaerrer from utah and she is the sweetest thing ever! I love her alot alot!! So we got our companions and headed home but it was so late, that we had to sleep in caguas for the night and then headed to aibonito wednesday morning!!

Weve been visiting alot of the members so Hermana could meet them and get to know them! We also started up mutual this week for the youth in our branch and we made gingerbread houses, but made puerto rico san juan temples and it was SO FUN!! and such a good turn out!!

We have literally talked to every living thing that comes in our path and it is so fun! I love working hard and having fun its a blast!

Well i dont have alot of time but basically we are working hard and will be seeing alot of miracles soon! love you all!!

Semana 31!!! Aibonito - I'm TRAINING again!!!

So this week was nothing short of CRAZY.

On friday we went to Aguas Buenas to help out some elders in our district! they were having an activity with all the youth in their ward! They were missionaries for the day! They woke up at 6:30 and did exercise and planned and studied and did everything a missionary does! So from 3-5 our whole district drove up to Aguas Buenas and we went out contacting with the youth, knocking on doors and talking to everyone and asking if we could share a message! It was so cool to help the youth see what a mission is like!!

There were so many other things, too many to remember!

Last night we recieved transfer news and I will be training again here in aibonito and hermana nelson will be leaving to guyama:( I am super excited to be able to train again and see the work out here in Aibonito flourish!!!! I also might be getting a latina so my spanish will really improve evern more! we will just have to wait and see!!!

 HASTA LUEGO!!!! HERMANA GRAY!
